We are extremely proud of the provision we have in our EYFS. We have a new outdoor classroom that has been designed with the Early Years curriculum at its heart. Our children have equal access to learning both indoors and outdoors. We have high expectations and our children make good progress throughout the Foundation Stage.

They follow the ReadWriteinc phonics and reading program and every member of staff in school is highly trained as a “Reading Teacher”. We have invested in a fabulous reading scheme that supports progress in reading and writing. We follow White Rose Maths from Reception through to Year 6 giving our children consistency in teaching and high levels of mathematical fluency.

We place strong emphasis on Personal, Social and Emotional Development and as a result, our children settle quickly into school and are happy, confident learners. We have excellent parental support and have different ways of communicating with our community to ensure that we share the learning with them.

Our Mission Statement “St Gregory’s is a sanctuary of love and hope where greatness grows” underpins all that we do in our Catholic School.  We provide a safe and secure environment, staffed by Early Years experts who nurture and teach our children to ensure they can achieve all that they are made to be.
